Technical Details

Landfill Drainage

Drainage Geosynthetic materials are replacing natural gravel drainage layers because of their equivalent (or higher) flow capacity, quick and easy installation, great reliability and cost savings.
Drainage geocomposite offers safer solutions protecting the environment and allowing to increase the capacity of a landfill.

Benefits:

  • Reduction of the thickness of the drainage layer, thereby increasing the volume for waste storage
  • Reduces of Environmental Impact (huge reduction in the number of trucks compared with natural gravel drainage layer)
  • Faster completion of the project due to the lower requirement for materials and their ease of installation
  • Overcomes problems with the stability of the gravel on steeper slopes
  • Geochem’s Special Drainage Geocomposites can offer Protection to lower layers beyond their drainage function

Waste Areas Capping Drainage

Drainage Geosynthetic materials are replacing natural gravel drainage layers in waste areas Capping Projects at same way like Landfill cell projects.

Benefits:

  • Reduction of the thickness of the drainage layer, thereby offers a lighter and more stable final cover
  • Reduces of Environmental Impact (huge reduction in the number of trucks compared with natural gravel drainage layer)
  • Faster completion of the project due to the lower requirement for materials and their ease of installation
  • Overcomes problems with the stability of the gravel on steeper slopes.

Highways & Railways Drainage

The usage of Drainage Geocomposites Highways and Railways can replace the Gravel drainage blanket layers in:

  • Embankment’s Base
  • Behind Abutments and retaining walls
  • Behind tunnel linings

Benefits:

  • Can save time and money
  • Helps conserve aggregate natural resources
  • Can greatly reduce vehicle movements during construction
  • Compared to aggregates it is light and easily moved
  • It is more efficient at drainage than aggregates

Building’s Walls Drainage

Drainage composites can replace drainage gravel in many applications. Unlike drainage gravel, a drainage synthetic Element can be placed vertically so to solve complex drainage problems in easier way. Often used in commercial building applications where positive drainage is required and space is limited. This typically occurs in commercial building foundations, underground parking areas, but can also be used for residential applications. Due to its low thickness allows designers to maximize available space. In applications where property lines require vertical excavations a drainage composite may be the only way to ensure drainage

Benefits:

  • Provides positive drainage in a thin section
  • Easily placed on exterior foundation walls
  • Can be inspected prior to backfilling operations
  • Clogging is preventing due to the geotextile filter
  • Offers High compressive strength
